Your email address, to sign you in and run your account, and a password if you set one, stored only as a salted hash we cannot read or recover. The resume you upload, which becomes a set of facts you approve; only approved facts are used in drafts. The jobs and companies you bring or pick. If you upload your LinkedIn connections file, we keep names, companies, and positions only; email addresses in that file are discarded unread. We also keep usage records, including the cost of each AI call your account makes, so limits and billing stay honest.
We never sell your data. We never post or submit anything on your behalf. We never ask for a social security number or date of birth.
The service runs on Cloudflare and is operated from the United States, where your data is processed and stored. Draft and scoring text is sent to Anthropic (the AI model provider) to produce your results, paid for by us on every plan; Anthropic does not train models on this API data, and that processing also happens in the United States. Payments are handled by Stripe; your card details never touch our systems. Visits to our public pages are measured with standard analytics and advertising measurement tools (Google Analytics, the Meta pixel), which set their own cookies. Each of these processes data only for the purpose described.
Career Wizard's scoring and drafting are AI systems, and we will always say so if you ask. We never train AI models of our own on your data. Text goes to AI providers solely to produce your results, on accounts we control and pay for.
Resumes sometimes reveal sensitive information, like citizenship or immigration status, union or association memberships, or health mentions. We process whatever you upload only to provide the service to you, never to profile you, never for advertising, and we do not pull those details out into separate records. You can delete everything at any time.
Service emails (sign-in links, confirmations, plan notices) come with the account. Marketing email is opt-in only: you get it if you ticked the box, and every message has an unsubscribe that works.
We advertise to reach people looking for a better job search, and we measure whether those ads work. Our public pages use the Meta pixel and Google Analytics for that measurement, and when you create an account or buy a license we may also send the ad platform a one-way hashed version of your email so it can count the signup or purchase. The hash cannot be turned back into your address, and no resume content or job activity is ever shared with any ad platform.
Your data stays while your account exists and is deleted when you are: the "Delete my account" button on your Account page wipes your resume facts, drafts, cover letters, matches, contacts, and account immediately. To review or change what we hold, open your fact list and edit or remove any fact; your email preferences change with one click in any marketing email. Payment records are kept as the law requires, and usage records are kept only in de-identified, aggregate form.
Career Wizard is intended for, and offered only to, residents of the United States, and all data is processed in the United States. We do not direct this service to, or knowingly serve, residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the service or submit your resume.
Career Wizard is for adults; you must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Like most sites, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. The measurement tools above are limited to our own pages and ad performance.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to our size: encryption in transit and at rest, sealed storage for connected keys, and least-privilege access. No one can promise perfect security; we can promise honesty about incidents.
